Freedom (Hall's) Just Another Word For Nothing Left To Lose

So the first half went about as poorly as you could have scripted it for this Irish team, but they still managed to hang around for most of the second half.  If either one of the guards showed up tonight (McAlarney, Jackson and Peoples combined for 13 turnovers, 12 points) to go along with Luke Harangody and Ryan Ayers (who needed to start shooting a lot earlier), then this a lot better game.  It would be interesting to see the Cardinals in the Big East tournament and on a neutral floor, although I don't think venue has anything to do with being out-athleted and out-Padgetted.

Harangody played a whale of a game from start to finish, but the Irish aren't going anywhere come March unless Good Tory shows up and McAlarney is on.  Perhaps the team was just confused about when spring break was starting.  For me, it started today around 6:00, so posting will be sporadic and light until next weekend.  Three games left Notre Dame should be winning, and while this setback certainly hurts,  the team can still get a nice seed if they take care of business.

Happy Spring Breakin'
