Connecticut at Notre Dame Hoops - Run At Thirty Straight - Open Thread

We're a minute in and we've already got our first Kyle McAlarney suspension reference and our first monster block by Thabeet.  This is going to be a war down low, folks.  Buckle up.

Update [2008-1-5 21:13:46 by CW]: It's only going to be a war down low if Mike Brey lets up and allows the UConn big men to set up low. McAlarney is on fire, Good Tory has showed up and the Irish lead 20-6 very, very early.

Update [2008-1-5 21:50:47 by CW]: At the half, the Irish are leading 47-32 with great games by all of the starters. Our only quality bench player has three fouls, Hasheem Thabeet just broke Tory Jackson's face and the Irish played the last few minutes sloppy to let the Huskies back in it. Notre Dame is rebounding, they're running and this is looking like a very good team.

In Pittsburgh, rookie lineman Derek Landri has both sacked and picked Ben Roethlisberger, helping the Jaguars stake themselves to a 21-7 halftime lead.

I'm heading out for the rest of the evening. Go Irish, Beat Huskies.
