Golden Is Thy Name: Slowly But Steadily Improving
Lot of good to take from that game, although Andre Ware needs banned from the booth. He was awful for Pitt/Michigan State two weeks ago and actually regressed this week, especially with his "Geez, it would be a shame if Evan Sharpley didn't start next week" after Jimmy Clausen had played a lot better in the second half as well.
No excuse for Travis Thomas still getting carries or Golden Tate not being on the field as a wide receiver on nearly every snap. Full breakdowns later, more football now.

watching this young team gel is fun,
- much will be made of nd's failure to run the ball in the purdue game. however, the threat of the run, coming from the michigan state game, made the purdue d sell out to stop the run and that opened up the passing game, which was very impressive.
- since fate has been kind enough to bring nd out to the rose bowl next week, i will enjoy watching this fine young nd team get its 1st victory against ucla and there will be more victories this year now that all that young talent has had its baptism if fire. would wins over ucla, boston college, usc( which looked very beatable against washington this week) and the rest of the teams on the schedule be a great thing? they sure would be and it always pays to think positively.
- now that this nd team has shown the ability to run and to pass, opposing teams are not going to be able to concentrate stopping just one.
- jimmy and evan are quite a pair, along with all of that very young talent( could a guy named golden tate have ended up at any school other than nd?) and the 2008 class coming in. now that charlie and his staff have resurrected the nd recruiting network from the dead where lazy bob davie put it, there will be no more talent and experience gaps.
- we highly recommend a road trip to los angeles. unlike usc fans, ucla fans are polite and civilzed and the rose bowl is a magical place for a football game and the weather is great out here.
- double d is really looking like a total fool right now and we still think that konrad and stewart will be back at nd.
- we hope that jimmy is not badly hurt. it did not look as if he was.
