Welcome to Bracketville: Prep for the Best Day Ever

I'm going out to breakfast and running a few errands before the games start, because if I don't, I'm going to end up going crazy and live-blogging old YouTube clips of "One Shining Moment" or The Price is Right or something.  A few things to get you ready for your guided trip to Bracketville this afternoon...

*    Mike over at Card Chronicle is churning out the hotness, and good karma should reward him with a Cardinals plural victory over the Cardinal singular today in Lexington.  Check out his Jim Nantz tribute or reasoning of why the way college football does it is so much better (I mean, that's his point right?  Who isn't pumped for the PapaJohns.com Bowl?  It's so much better than the NIT...).
*    Dan Wetzel at Yahoo! talks about why everyone loves this damn thing.
*    Bill Simmons, who hopped onto the college hoops bandwagon with more fervor and force than anyone hopping a bandwagon in recent memory, gives his picks, and Pete is growing tired of this Durant obsession/Barnes bashing thing.  Speaking of Simmons and the NBA, did any of you catch the Suns/Mavericks game last night?  Just fantastic basketball, and the perfect game for Brackets Eve.

I'll be with you the entire afternoon, walking you through - along with commentary from SBN's finest - all of these games:

Davidson vs. Maryland - 12:20
Texas Tech vs. Boston College - 12:25
Stanford vs. Louisville - 12:30
Oral Roberts vs. Washington State - 2:40
Old Dominion vs. Butler - 2:40
Belmont vs.Georgetown - 2:45
Penn vs. Texas A&M - 3:00
George Washington vs. Vanderbilt - 5:00

The only higher seeds I'd guess were 100% safe this afternoon would be Georgetown and Texas A&M, but I've lost a Final Four team in the first round for two years running, so Acie Law IV is probably jinxed to high heaven.
