Evan Sharpley To Be Sacrificed To Trojans

From ESPN:

"I think Evan this week gives us the best chance of winning," coach Charlie Weis said during his weekly news conference Tuesday.

I agree with this decision, although I know Rob doesn't.  It's maybe not ideal for the longterm, but the team seemed a lot more excited with Sharpley in as opposed to Clausen, and he certainly looked better against Boston College then the fab frosh.  It'll be interesting to see how Sharpley does playing in a real offense instead of just winging it in a comeback effort, especially since the forecast for Saturday is calling for rain right now.

sharpley
puts them in the best position to win, especially since they'll have to score points to keep up with SC.

good move chuck.

have you seen the current usc injury report?
  1. this usc team is so riddled with injuries at key positions that the rain will be just a bonus.
  2. if there was ever one win that could redeem an otherwise ugly season, it is beating usc.
  3. remember, notre dame has a bye wek after this game while the trojans have to play oregon on the road next week.
  4. it is so perfect setup for the upset that it almost seems unfair, unless you look at the opponent.
  5. both evan and jimmy will play. the only real question is how many trojans will be carried off the field during their loss and how many points the nd d will score since both usc qbs just love to throw picks.
go irish!! beat usc
