A ghastly first half gave way to solid production by the Irish offense in the final twenty minutes, with great efforts from Tory Jackson - in what will hopefully be his final game at the JACC - and Carleton Scott leading the way.  Free throw shooting was a little leaky down the stretch, but Notre Dame made enough plays to hold on for the victory.  As absurd as this statement would have sounded two weeks ago, if the Fighting Irish win at Marquette Saturday - no small task - they will be in the NCAA tournament.
