Around SBN: MLB Trade Deadline: Phils, Astros complete Roy Oswalt deal

I think a likely scenario for draft night is the Seahawks taking Clausen with one of their picks and an offensive tackle with the other. Depending on the quality of tackle available at the six spot, the Seahawks can go lineman there then gamble the Bills pass on Clausen at nine.

who is the leading frontrunner for the qb position at notre dame next season?

i’m curious b/c my team the utah utes plays your team next year. thanks.

I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. I was building a house, I don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. Bang. "Unforgiven" I drink your milkshake. I drink it up! "There Will BE Blood"

Dayne Crist

He will be a junior next year. He started to get a decent amount of playing time after Clausen got hurt last year (Purdue), before blowing out his knee against Washington State. Reports are that he will be ready to do some work this Spring and then be full speed come August.

Outside of Crist, the QB position is void of any depth whatsoever. There is one freshman that enrolled early and Nate Montana has transferred back to the program, but he is beyond terrible.

Crist is built similar to Brady Quinn. He is big and strong. He has more athletic ability than Clausen and has shown that he can move around in the pocket. Hopefully he will fit in well with Kelly’s spread offense and shift the pocket well.

hopefully Crist does not get hurt

because, as you say, there is nothing behind him
