Raking the Muck: Brady Quinn Starting, Michigan Odds and Ends
Although Eric Mangini is continuing to pretend he's an international man of mystery, Brady Quinn will be starting for the Browns against the Vikings on Sunday. After being groomed into a pro quarterback by one Belichick disciple, his professional career has been marred by being jerked around by two more extensions of Uncle Bill's coaching tree. It'll be a stout first test for Quinn, as the Viking defense is one of the best of the league and the skill players surrounding Brady are some of the worst (looking at you and your hands of stone, Braylon Edwards). Kickoff is at 1:00pm in Cleveland.

The announcing crew for Saturday's game will be Sean McDonough and Matt Millen. I love McDonough, mainly for his great work with Bilas and Raftery on Big Mondays, although I question the wisdom of Millen returning to Michigan so soon. I'm glad the former Lions GM is calling college games, because it was incredibly difficult to take anything he said about professional football very seriously after the sterling work he did in Detroit. Roaming the sideline will be Holly "It's 49-21, Sweetheart" Rowe.

Jerian Grant, the number 92 player in the Rivals Top 150, has committed to Mike Brey and the Fighting Irish. The Hyattsville, MD, product is the second top 100 player Brey has gotten for this recruiting class, showing that talented hoopsters love nothing more than schools that make it to the NIT semifinals.

Michigan cornerback Donovan Warren played against Jimmy Clausen in high school and is excited to keep that rivalry going. Warren has the pedigree to be a top defender, but his Western Michigan game was a nice mix of great plays and pass interference penalties. Considering that the other likely starting cornerback on Greg Robinson's defense is well below six feet, look for Warren to get assigned to Michael Floyd, meaning fifteen yard pass interference penalties might be the best defense available to him. But in all seriousness, if Warren can negate Floyd's ability with minimal safety help, it would be a huge boon to the Wolverines. Otherwise, a safety is going to have to rotate over, leaving Kyle Rudolph or Golden Tate in single coverage, why I don't think will end well for the home team.

LOL
Considering that the other likely starting cornerback on Greg Robinson’s defense is well below six feet
I don’t know why, but I thought he was dead.
Anyways, that’s good news to have a mismatch in the skill position.
If you don’t mind, could you break down how the offensive line compares to Michigan’s defensive line?
Greg Robinson
He is certainly not dead. Don’t you remember what happened last time we faced one of his defenses…it was not good.
Logic says the Irish should win this game...
but why does that give me doubts

nothing has taken years off of my life like Irish football.
