Gametime! ND vs. Villanova Gameday Thread

The Irish are hanging on by a thread in their chances for a ticket to the Big Dance and any remaining chance they have will be put to the test against #16 Villanova.  Villanova is coming off an interesting loss to Georgetown, who had been playing pretty awful basketball up until that win.  It will be interesting to see which Nova team shows up, but I think I'd have to give the early nod to Notre Dame since it's a home game.  Zach Hillesland will be out of this game, so hopefully Ty Nash gets his first start.  For the love of whoever is watching the game with me tonight, I hope Zeller does not start.  Other than that...GO IRISH!!!

Not our best half of basketball, but certainly not their’s either.

Should be a good second half.

What an awful second half.

Too many stupid turnovers and bad defense.

Just end the season now. Way too painful.

We got pwnt on offense

That was as much of a problem as the defense. Yeah, the defense wasn’t great, but the offense just ground to a halt. We didn’t really get a good game on that end from anyone other than Ayers. In particular, let’s keep in mind that this team often seems to feed off of the offense when they’re playing defense. (It also didn’t help that someone fed the non-student part of the crowd Ambien before the game… I think they got on their feet ONCE in the first half, when we were still actually playing well.)
