Senior Day and Weis' Wake: Connecticut Huskies at Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Connecticut Huskies at Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Nov 21, 2009 2:30 PM EST

The last home game for a lot of seniors, potentially some juniors (Please stay Jimmy and Golden) and most definitely Charlie Weis in the capacity as head coach.  The Huskies are a solid team that have been on the receiving end of a lot of bad luck in the wake of Jasper Howard's tragic death.  If anyone due, it's them.  I'd call this the last stand for Charlie Weis, but I think we're past that point.

Go Irish, Beat Huskies.

huge 3rd down here

suddenly, I don’t want the ball in Frazer’s hands…

and, they don’t get it

how the hell did this game fall apart

dare to dream

of holding on against UCONN

Tenuta has destroyed my will to live

ok guys...

here we go… 1:33 left… lets approximate a good performance

Irish get the ball to start the 2nd half, a score here would be huge

yet I expect a missed FG

holding call

Might as well run out the clock.

wow

I was just about to post “1st and 10 on the 30. How could they possibly screw this up?” Bam! 15-yard penalty. The CW era can’t end quickly enough for me.

weird game

I have no idea anymore

UCONN has done nothing on offense, yet here they sit

a TD here would be huge

hated not running one more play at the end of the third… UCONN’s defense should be pretty tired

trying to imagine if hughes could be slower

by Will McDonald on Nov 21, 2009 5:15 PM EST reply actions

small victory

time for the defense to make a play

UCONN has run 7 offensive plays this half

by Will McDonald on Nov 21, 2009 5:17 PM EST reply actions

hahaha

Kick out of bounds. Absolutely priceless.

we need a turnover

seemingly haven’t gotten one in a year

by Will McDonald on Nov 21, 2009 5:20 PM EST reply actions

still waiting on a UCONN penalty

we have to revise how we get games officiated

by Will McDonald on Nov 21, 2009 5:22 PM EST reply actions

gift from Frazer

turnovers are at least 50% luck

I’ll take it

by Will McDonald on Nov 21, 2009 5:25 PM EST reply actions

so lets see

1st down: Hughes for a yard
2nd down: Tate for 4 yards
3rd down: incomplete

AA’s 50th slip of the game

by Will McDonald on Nov 21, 2009 5:29 PM EST reply actions

exactly what I was thinking

They might’ve been better off letting UConn score last time and taking our time to re-take the lead.

Syracuse part 2

we’re about 30 minutes from a ruined weekend… I wish I couldn’t care

by Will McDonald on Nov 21, 2009 5:32 PM EST reply actions

Edsall got too cute

a few extra yards would have made the difference there

by Will McDonald on Nov 21, 2009 5:53 PM EST reply actions

wow

Biggest win in Uconn’s history. End of the Charlie Weis era. Not a good day to be a ND fan.

by long time listener on Nov 21, 2009 6:13 PM EST reply actions

I can't decide if Im more mad...

that i fell a sleep and missed pretty much the entire second half, or happy that I didn’t have to watch this…

This space for rent.
