Uhhhhhh....
I have a worse feeling about this game than the Michigan game… And we lost the Michigan game. Locker is going to be the best QB we face all year.
Desperately hoping for Desperate Measures
I'm not worried
Washington has absolutely no running game, so being able to focus on Locker should help. And our offense should put up 30+ again.
I think Manti will have his breakout game this afternoon.
My biggest fear...
is that good players have a history of shinning against Weis.
If the Irish come out pounding the rock then that will ease my concerns quite a bit.

That may be...
but obviously you have to agree on some level. Fact of the matter is regardless of how a relationship has gone for me, Irish football will always be there. Ive seen nearly every single Irish game since I was 8 years old. So for the last 20 years no matter what goes right or wrong in my life (and lately with Irish football things have been very wrong) I can at least look forward to next year. Aside from my Parents, I have not cared for anything as long as I have loved ND… Maybe its a curse, but thats the way it is, you can chose the ones you love.

It takes very little time to make the few posts I make here
so it is not a problem. You make more posts here in one quarter of a game than I do in a week.

I dont see what your fucking problem is with me.
I watch ND football with my laptop in my lap and comment as the game goes on. So that makes me a fucking loser? So I set 3 hours of my week aside to watch football and comment on Irish football amongst people who love the team as i do, and that gives you the right to judge me… Go fuck yourself.

Yankees lose = everyone talks about them underachieving with their high payroll.

there isn't anything...
Salary caps are overrated too, its just that when you have a built in following of 14 million people, plus all the international people who have never seen a baseball game that still wear Yankee hats you have a ridiculous financial advantage. I just take it real personal when Yankee fans get all high and mighty about how awesome they are.
Its not that small market teams cant compete, the Rays have done a fine job on minimal salary, its just the Royals have a terrible front office
Desperately hoping for Desperate Measures
by averagegatsby on Oct 3, 2009 6:58 PM EDT up reply actions
i agree
they can compete, but unfortunately they have to pretty much be perfect and make all the right decisions. look at the Twins – their drafting and player development has been unbelievable.
the Rays has a group of top draft picks all come up at the same time, that’s why i thought last year was a bit fluky.
by SBakerTheTouchdownMaker on Oct 3, 2009 6:59 PM EDT up reply actions

Desperately hoping for Desperate Measures
by averagegatsby on Oct 3, 2009 6:54 PM EDT up reply actions
they gave UW a TD, then called it back b/c the guy’s knee was down. Then ND forced a field goal, but got called for roughing the snapper, so UW got a 1st and goal on the 1. Then ND stopped them AGAIN, and UW just kicked a FG. UW leads 27-22, 2:52 left, ND is getting the ball back.

I woudln't have cared if he was fired at the end of last season...
Weis’ arrogance is overwhelming and really is going to be his downfall. Im not sure what coach we could get that would work, because Ideally he would have to be a ND guy, he would need to be a big name, and he would have to be successful now.
Desperately hoping for Desperate Measures
by averagegatsby on Oct 3, 2009 6:59 PM EDT up reply actions
If they beat USC and run the table, that’ll be enough to get them into a BCS bowl, regardless of whether they win this game. That would probably be enough to save Weiss.
Can they do that? I doubt it, regardless of what happens in the next 3 minutes.
by long time listener on Oct 3, 2009 7:00 PM EDT up reply actions
I guess we have to credit the D
they haven’t played all that great, haven’t tackled worth a damn in this quarter, and let UW march down field twice. But those two goal-line stands might save the season.
