Game One, or The Kind of 16th Century Colonial Genocide We All Can Agree On

San Diego St. Aztecs at Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Sep 6, 2008 3:30 PM EDT

With the kickoff of this game, the Irish can offically put the pain of the 2007 season behind him.  With it comes a chance at redemption and victory. . .or a loss that puts every other failure in the modern history of the program to shame.  I'll be at the DC Alumni gamewatch, but keep the comments hopping during and we'll break down what exactly happened post-game.

Go Irish, Beat Aztecs.

First one in!

Goals for today: Total domination. 40+ points on offense, 7 or less allowed on D.

Boy, Ohio State and Michigan sure look dominant so far. NOT!

A reason to hate SDSU!

Looking for motivation for today’s game? Google “San Diego State Co-ed” and meet Jessica Bailey. Is jealousy proper motivation?

4 and 3 twice? Get the first down ND. No reason for 20 yd pass, is there?

I absolutely know we will win this game … but what, I think, we need to do that we didnt do last year, is do the things that HAVE to be done by any good team like ND. Like there … Maurice gets a penalty on a 3rd down and 12 (?). And get the 1st down on 3rd and 2 or 3rd and 3, 90% of the time vs a team like SDS.

I DO NOT believe it. SDS intercepted us in the endzone on 1st and 10.
Play calling is sad, the whole game, 1st down, 2nd down, and especially 3rd down.

I just do not understand anything, sorry. This is really really really not good.
I wish I could get up and cheer, yell but the offense & defense did not show up.
Yes, I agree we are helping SDS out, yes.
