Notes on those with *s after the jump.

- Victor Abiamiri- Underwent wrist surgery in August and will see the doctor again on Sept. 15th.
- John Carlson- Not only did Carlson's training camp performance earn him top position at TE on the Seahawks depth chart, SI's Peter Kind lists him #3 as a potential offensive rookie of the year.
- Chinedum Ndukwe- Even with a leg injury, Nedu hopes to be back within two weeks and push Dexter Jackson for the starting position at free safety.
- Brady Quinn- After a hugely disappointing debut as a starter against the Detriot Lions, Brady bounced back with a 7 of 9 for 65 yards against the Chicago Bears. However, Derek Anderson (sucks) has fully healed from his concussion and will start for the Browns against the Cowboys.
- Mike Richardson- MADE THE PATRIOTS PRACTICE SQUAD! During his amazing improvement during his final two years at Notre Dame, I became a huge Mike Rich fan. I cannot explain to you the wave of joy that swept over me when I saw that he had been signed to the Pats practice squad. He spent all of last year injured and now has a chance to prove himself. Good luck, Mike.
- Maurice Stovall- Listed as third/fourth receiver with George Clooney Michael Clayton after camp. Apparently Mo Sto didn't separate himself from the pack as ancient receivers Joey Galloway and Antonio Bryant top the depth chart. However, Stovall will probably continue to be a force on specail teams this season.
- John Sullivan- Folks in Minnesota are raving about his intelligence and ability to wait in the wings behind veteran Matt Birk. Of all players on this list, Sully probably has the best job.
- Travis Thomas- Despite many reports to the contrary, TT was not able to crack the practice squad for the Browns. Apparently ticky-tack injuries kept Thomas from full effectiveness although he did rush for seventy yards on eleven carries in the final preseason game against the Bears. He could be picked up later if Jamal Lewis sustains another injury.
- Darius Walker- Practice squad again. Darius was the victim of economics as the Texans didn't want to eat the contract of RB Chris Brown and instead placed him on the IR with a sore back. However, with Walker listed as the only running back on the practice squad, and Ahman Green made of porcelain, D-Walk is a good bet to get some PT this year.
- Tom Zbikowski- Zibby had an interception and twenty-one yard return in the Ravens preseason game against the Rams. That, along with his special teams contributions, moved Tommy Z ahead of fellow rookie Haruki Nakamura for the back-up strong safety spot behind Dawan Landry.
Hopefully this list can keep your mind at least partially off the impending disaster/glory that will be the 2008 Notre Dame Football Season. Good luck to all the Irish in the NFL and otherwise. We'll have more updates during the season.

Graduation Years?
I think you should edit this post and add the graduation years of all of these players. I think it would be interesting to see.

There was a write-up on John Carlson in the Seahawks preview
in last week’s Sports Illustrated! Carlson will bring the ’Hawks some winning years to come! And he is much better than Jerramy Stevens (remember Joey Porter and Super Bowl XL?)!
