Ode To Joy: Notre Dame Erupts in Third Quarter Against Purdue, Wins 38-21, Improve to 3-1
I'm not sure what the hell happened in the locker room at halftime, but Armando Allen and Jimmy Clausen set career highs as the defense swarmed, allowing the Irish to overcome a slow start and knock off their in-state opponent. The freshmen were huge again, with Michael Floyd turning in a hundred yard day, Robert Blanton returning an interception for a touchdown and Ethan Johnson thrashing through the offensive line brush around Curtis Painter all day. The Michigan State game left a bad taste in a lot of Irish fans' mouths, but this win was a palate cleanser going into October.
(Also, this season is becoming as ridiculous as last year, so Gamblin' Man will probably be suspended until I'm not awful at picking anymore. Go Rebs and Roll Tide, indeed.)

Purdues defense just plain up sucked, but a great showing by the offense either way.
