Big love for a bunch of teams piling up quality road wins (LSU, Boise State, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Florida, Wake Forest). As we get deeper into conference play, things are going to get very, very interesting in the polls.

LSU seems low at #11
in my opinion, their victory at Auburn is the best win by anyone this season. and although they have played an FCS school, it was the #1 school in the country. I’m not saying they should be #1, but I don’t think the other 10 schools above them have better resumes at this point. Texas and Oklahoma for example; the best Oklahoma has is a home victory over Cincinnati (unless you think at UW was better) and the best Texas has is at home against Rice.

Solid point
But even though it was over App State, I don’t count I-AA teams. If LSU takes care of business in the SEC, they will have no trouble quickly rising. Probably wouldn’t hurt to bump Texas down a bit, though, especially with the not-so-impressive showdown at UTEP, but they were fantastic against a good Rice team.
