He's Gone. Kevin White to be named new AD at Duke

It's not a joke.  At least I hope not.  Multiple news outlets are reporting tonight that Notre Dame AD Kevin White is headed to Duke.  Nothing is being said by either school, but he's definitely gone.  There is no word on a possible replacement.

White has been at Notre Dame since 2000, but has been an unpopular figure to alumni and fans.  Multiple coaching mishaps (extension to Bob Davie, the George O'Leary situation, hiring Tyrone Willingham), obvious insubordination at Willingham's press conference, pathetic scheduling, and the overall devaluing of the ND tradition are some of the reasons Irish fans are ready to see him go.

We'll have much more on this story as things continue.

UPDATE FROM CW: Corroborating evidence from WNDU.
