On Election Eve, Cleveland Chooses the Change Candidate: Brady Quinn To Start For The Browns Thursday Night
In a move that delights Browns fan, Irish faithful, heterosexual women and sports bloggers everywhere, Cleveland will be starting 2007 first round pick Brady Quinn on Thursday night against the Browns. Earlier in the day, Romeo Crennel said this:
"No, I haven't really [considered it]," he said. "I haven't had a chance to talk to the coaches or anything. With a short week, I told them to go ahead and get started on Denver. They haven't even looked at this game yet."
Crennel was then asked if Anderson was still his starter.
"Yes," he said, "as of right now."
And then Phil Savage pointed out that Derek Anderson had a lower passer rating than JaMarcus Russell and the Browns made the switch. Quinn gets a great debut start, playing at home against a porous Broncos defense. No word on whether his good looks will impact the ratings of Grey's Anatomy.
