December 13, 2004:

"You are what you are, folks, and right now you're a 6-5 football team. And guess what, that's just not good enough. That's not good enough for you, and it's certainly not going to be good enough for me. So, if you think they hired me here to go .500, you've got the wrong guy." - Charlie Weis

I hope to hell that one of the reporters brings this quote up at his next press conference.

Then what?

We fire Charlie and then start all over with another coach? At what point does the revolving door of coaches stop? There is no excuses next year. The offense will be experienced, the d will more than likely be better, so we have to give Charlie next year, and if he does`t impress than i am right there with you guys.

Wow you people hate charlie

when we lost that game because Clausen was too inept to audible. Word to Clausen when there’s 8 men in the box and 9 show blitz, audible to pass play. 4th. and 2 play, Syracuse as 9 men in the box (they moved the safety down to blitz) Clausen basically just said “What the hell” and stuck with the run play which accounted for -1 yards. This happened on multiple occasions and he tried to go to Tate way too much. They tried too many deep plays. Clausen should have noticed that Rudolph and grimes were open a lot throughout the game.

Oh well 6-6 means (hopefully) an easy bowl game opponent. Thus meaning that we should snap the bowl losing streak. Word to Notre Dame’s Athletic Department, don’t take any Gator or Cotton bowl invites. Only go for Bowl Games where we play an easy opponent.

look in the mirror dude, Notre Dame is the easy opponent.

this team just lost to Syracuse at home. what makes you think they can beat any bowl-eligible teams?

LOL

Some buddies and I were talking the other day about our (LSU’s) possible bowl opponents and how we needed to play a “slump buster” in the bowl game.

We all said Notre Dame in unison.

I got it.

The solution to all our problems. Charlie knows how to coach kids who’ve been taught how to play college football by Tyrone Willingham. Clearly what we need here is a unity ticket. Conveniently, Ty’s looking for a job again, so you bring him back as Spring Ball/Training Camp Head Coach. Charlie spends all that time he’d be coaching those on the exercise bike watching film.

Why, yes, barkeep, I seem to be empty over here, better slide me another cold one…
