Fire Charlie Weis? Butch Davis and Brian Kelly To Notre Dame?

Let's just sleep on it, folks.  For now, check out some great analysis from Hinton (remember the '03 bowl denying loss to Syracuse?  Similarities are not inspiring.) and get excited for the stories from Student Section vs. State Police, Snowball Edition.

And isn't this pretty?

another reason

to like El Paso.

the whole “Fire Charlie” stuff is useless since he’s virtually guaranteed another year. that being said, there is no way to defend him after two of the worst losses (Navy, Syracuse) in school history in back-to-back seasons. i was on-board as long as this team went 7-5 with a bowl win. with the way the schedule set up – Michigan’s worst team ever, Purdue down, Stanford still rebuilding, UNC/Pitt with backup QBs, BC without Ryan and a truckload of 5th year seniors, putrid SDSU, UW, and ‘Cuse teams – 7-5 should’ve been a more than reasonable goal.

not even a resounding bowl win will salvage this season now.

after a 3-9 season, the rope gets a lot shorter. 7-6 (or perhaps 6-7) certainly isn’t good enough to retain Weis.
