Arms Race: Tale of the Tates

The North Carolina Tar Heels are 4-1 going into their date with the Fighting Irish Saturday, and they got there with a mix of big plays in all facets of the game, good defense and timely offense. When you have the 88th-ranked offense, are using your back-up quarterback and have been outgained in three of your four wins (but not your sole loss, oddly enough), it helps to have a transcendent, electric player like Brandon Tate to help keep field position in your favor while serving as an integral part of the offense.
Obviously Golden Tate hasn't had as many touches as his more seasoned Tar Heel counterpart and Brandon doesn't have St. Michael Money Flow Fight Jet Floyd on the other side of the field to distract whoever happens to be playing quarterback. If one of the Tates breaks lose in a big way Saturday afternoon, their team will have a big advantage.

Pick your poison UNC
Tate gets a lot of attention so im looking for Floyd to have a big game. If they try to take them both away with safeties over the top maybe our run game can break out.

The NC blog
points out that they have a second receiver with pretty gaudy statistics too. 400-some yards, 4 touchdowns.
Is this weird or what, that North Carolina has likely got the second best football team on our schedule this year?
